one calculation, applied the same way to every offer

How this is worked out

A site that prints a figure nobody can re-derive is printing an opinion. Here is the whole calculation, including where it refuses to run.

The calculation

  1. Take a deposit of $100.
  2. Apply the headline percentage to it. A 200% offer credits a $200 bonus.
  3. Apply the multiple to whatever the terms name: the bonus alone, the deposit alone, or the deposit and bonus together.
  4. The result is the turnover: the amount that must pass through bets before anything can be withdrawn.

Worked example. A 200% offer at 40× the bonus: $200 credited, $8,000 of turnover. The same 200% at 40× deposit and bonus: $300 combined, $12,000 of turnover. Same banner, same multiple, half again the obligation.

The headline and the price are two different numbers. A hundred per cent at forty times costs four thousand of turnover for every hundred deposited; six hundred per cent at the same multiple costs almost six times more.

Where the figures come from

The offer terms as they are published — percentage, cap, multiple, base, spins, minimum deposit, maximum bet and window. Those are the operators' own numbers. Everything else on this site is arithmetic performed on them.

The licence and cashier details on the casino pages come from a different place: regulators' registers and the operators' own pages, read directly.

Where the calculation refuses to run

  • No multiple published. 5 of 43 offers here. Nothing is computed and the row says so.
  • No percentage published. The cap alone cannot produce a per-$100 figure, so those offers are priced at the cap instead, and the label says which.
  • A requirement that is not a multiple. A few offers release funds progressively as you wager rather than behind a fixed figure. That is a different mechanism and it is not forced into this one.

What the number does not include

Game weighting. The turnover figure assumes play on games that count in full, which on almost every site means slots. If you play live tables at ten per cent weighting, multiply the figure by ten. That variable belongs to the reader rather than to the offer, which is why it is kept separate rather than folded in.

It also excludes the separate requirement that free-spin winnings usually carry. Where an offer includes spins, the number beside it prices the bonus only.

What this makes the figure

A comparable measure of what an offer asks of you, not a prediction of what it will cost you. The expected cost is the house edge applied across that turnover — a few per cent of it on slots — and it depends on what you play, which no register can know.
