A match is two numbers, and only one is advertised
A match bonus has a percentage and a ceiling. The percentage decides what proportion of a deposit is matched; the ceiling decides where the matching stops. Two hundred per cent up to $1,000 matches a $500 deposit fully and a $5,000 deposit barely at all.
So the percentage only applies up to the point where the cap bites, and the useful question is what happens at the deposit you were going to make anyway, not at the deposit the cap was designed for.

What the pages in this section cover
Online casino deposit bonus
The largest phrase in this whole subject once no-deposit offers are set aside.
Match deposit bonus
A match is a percentage with a ceiling. Both halves matter and only one is advertised.
Reload bonus
Smaller percentages, lower multiples, and usually the better arithmetic.
Cashback instead of a bonus
Cashback is a percentage of losses, frequently with no wagering at all.
The turnover table
| Headline | 20× | 30× | 35× | 40× | 50× |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100% | $2,000 | $3,000 | $3,500 | $4,000 | $5,000 |
| 200% | $4,000 | $6,000 | $7,000 | $8,000 | $10,000 |
| 300% | $6,000 | $9,000 | $10,500 | $12,000 | $15,000 |
| 500% | $10,000 | $15,000 | $17,500 | $20,000 | $25,000 |
Turnover per $100 deposited, with the multiple applied to the bonus alone.
The same arithmetic runs behind every figure on this site; it is written out in full on how this is worked out, including the cases where it refuses to run. What the site does and does not publish is on the about page.
Reload offers are usually the better arithmetic
The welcome offer is the loudest and rarely the cheapest. Reload bonuses — the recurring, smaller offers that follow it — tend to carry lower percentages and lower multiples, which is a better combination on both halves of the calculation.
Cashback is different again: a percentage of losses returned, frequently with no wagering attached at all. Where that is the case it is worth more than a bonus several times its size, and it never appears in a list of best bonuses because it has no headline percentage to lead with.
Three places this leads next: every offer, priced, wagering requirements and welcome bonuses. Every figure on this site comes out of the same multiplication, which is why the numbers on one page never contradict the numbers on another.
